Yesterday industry experts including architects, engineers, property developers and environmental experts spoke on a range of sustainability topics at the Royal Society of Ulster Architects (RSUA) Sustainability Conference ‘Routes to New Zero Carbon’ which took place at Ulster University in Belfast.
Amongst the guest speakers was our company director John Carrigan, John discussed why Fraser Millar have chosen Passivhaus design, the key principals, the benefits to the environment and homeowners. Plus, the initial challenges that we had to overcome to bring Passivhaus to large scale residential development in Northern Ireland.
An insightful day, it’s assuring to know that the industry at large is taking positive action to ensure Northern Ireland’s built environment meets the targets outlined in the Climate Change Act (NI).
